Compassion

Virginia 1994: Bobbie was working at Mozzarella Cafe at the mall. There was approximately 50 college employees working there to earn some extra cash. One of the employees was a friend of Bobbie’s, and she was from Ireland. She was a brunette, around 6″ tall, big-boned, humorous and very kind. Bobbie loved her Irish accent and often teased her while standing next to her. One night, a group of coworkers decided to go bar-hopping in the neighborhood. After one too many drinks, Bobbie offered her Irish girlfriend to spend the night at her apartment. Bobbie had a one bedroom apartment with one twin-size bed. So, they slept in the same bed. While talking for hours, Bobbie’s girlfriend revealed to her that she felt so unattractive, and that no guy would ever date her. Deep down, Bobbie agreed with her, because she wasn’t an attractive girl…at all. But Bobbie knew she was very beautiful inside. Bobbie wiped her friend’s tears off, and then gently kissed her on the forehead. “You’re beautiful to me,” Bobbie whispered. Bobbie’s girlfriend gave her a hug, and then kissed her on the cheek. Bobbie then kissed her on the lips and gently touched her breasts. They made out for a little while, but nothing serious happened. Bobbie and her girlfriend both ended up falling asleep, cuddled up next to each other. The next day wasn’t awkward…thank God.
