Humility

It was the first time Bobbie ever saw a child on life support…he was only four years old. He looked so innocent and helpless. His eyes were swollen and he had a hard time breathing due to conjestion. Bobbie’s heart ached. He was the son of one of the Soldiers in Bobbie’s unit…the baby boy was diagnosed with cancer at an early age, and miraculously made it until he was four years old. Then, he ended up in the hospital. His parents were so strong with great faith. They stayed by their baby’s side night and day…praying and encouraing one another. The father mentioned, “People can imagine what it’s like, but they will never know what it’s like.”

Bobbie touched the baby boy’s hand and prayed whenever she came to visit. She thought, “It’s not impossible…Jesus did it.” Bobbie learned once again that some things are meant to be the way they are. Bobbie decided to just trust God. The daily stressors of life seemed to disappear when the baby boy was in sight. Who could possibly make a complaint about life when there’s a child struggling for his own life right infront of them? If Bobbie and others could only live this way on a daily basis…appreciating every little thing that comes along…loving everyone that comes along…forgiving everyone that comes along…life would be so much more beautiful.
